Eligibility Criteria

The Manaaki New Zealand Government Scholarship is available only to eligible countries. To determine eligibility, applicants must use the online eligibility test tool. Candidates must be between 18 and 40 years old at the beginning of their studies in New Zealand. Additionally, applicants must have either one year of full-time work experience (30+ hours per week) or two years of part-time experience (up to 29 hours per week), which can be paid, unpaid, or voluntary. Proof of English proficiency is required only from shortlisted candidates at a later stage.
