Sierra Leonean Woman Allegedly Killed by Husband in Columbus, Ohio: Ongoing Investigation
A
32-year-old Sierra Leonean woman, Mariama Bah, was allegedly murdered by her
husband, Hassana Jalloh, in Columbus, Ohio. The incident reportedly took place
after Jalloh, 55, waited for their children to leave for school before carrying
out the act using a knife and a hammer.
According
to initial reports, Jalloh called 911 after committing the crime. Columbus
police responded to the call just before 9:20 a.m., arriving at the 2100 block
of Yorkhull Lane in the city’s Northland area.
Upon
arrival, officers found Mariama Bah unresponsive, having sustained apparent
blunt force trauma. Homicide detectives confirmed that Columbus Division of
Fire medics pronounced Bah dead at the scene at 9:37 a.m.
Jalloh
has since been charged by homicide detectives with aggravated murder and
premeditated aggravated murder in connection with his wife’s death.
Investigations are still ongoing, with authorities working to uncover the full
circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
Court
records reveal that Jalloh informed both the dispatcher and responding officers
that he used a hammer and a knife to kill Bah. He also admitted to
