How To Apply For A Finnish Government Scholarship

The degree program will determine when and how you apply. Start by looking through the Studyinfo. fi database for the study programs you want to apply to. It is simple for you to verify the application deadline and other admissions-related information with those specific universities once you have chosen your programs.

JOINT APPLICATION

The joint application to studies starting in autumn (September) is arranged annually in January (8–22 Jan 2025). All degree programs available via the joint application share the same application period. The joint application also means that you can apply to up to six-degree programs with one single application.

A small number of degree programs may also offer a January study start option. To these, the joint application period is usually open in September (28 Aug–11 Sept 2024). Note however that the September joint application has a limited selection of programmes on offer compared to the January joint application.

SEPARATE   APPLICATIONS

Some degree programs may accept applications outside of the joint application period. Visit Studyinfo. fi to learn more about distinct applications. Depending on the program, the application period for distinct applications can change significantly.

For studies beginning in the fall, the separate application periods typically occur between late November/early December and late January. However, some universities or UASs may additionally provide application alternatives through rolling admissions over some months. Consult the university or UAS of your choosing to find out the precise application period.
