Finland Scholarship 2025
Coverage
The scholarship offered by the Finnish
government does not require a separate application. When you apply for
admission, your application will automatically be reviewed for scholarships.
Finland operates under a central admissions process. All you have to do is
apply online and choose a curriculum from a few different institutions. You don't
have to get in touch with educators or anybody else. The scholarship is a
prerequisite for admission.
Every university offers varying levels of tuition exemption OR tuition + fully
funded monthly assistance.
Certain programs are listed as exceptions, and funds are allocated specifically
for a given entry; only the department and the scholarship can provide a
necessary grant.
Verify the kind of scholarships the university offers overall and for the
program in particular.

degree program will determine when and how you apply. Start by looking through
the Studyinfo. fi database for the study programs you want to apply to. It is

JOINT APPLICATION
The joint application to studies starting in
autumn (September) is arranged annually in January (8–22 Jan 2025).
All degree programs available via the joint application share the same
application period. The joint application also means that you can apply to up
to six-degree programs with one single application.
A small number of degree programs may also
offer a January study start option. To these, the joint application period
is usually open in September (28 Aug–11 Sept 2024). Note however that the
September joint application has a limited selection of programmes on
offer compared to the January joint application.
SEPARATE APPLICATIONS
Some
degree programs may accept applications outside of the joint application
period. Visit Studyinfo. fi to learn more about distinct applications.
Depending on the program, the application period for distinct applications can
change significantly.
For studies beginning in the fall, the separate application periods typically
occur between late November/early December and late January. However, some
universities or UASs may additionally provide application alternatives through
rolling admissions over some months. Consult the university or UAS of your
choosing to find out the precise application period.
