Adebayor Criticizes Samura Kamara for Lack of Leadership in Electoral Justice Campaign

Adebayor Criticizes Samura Kamara for Failing to Lead Call for Electoral Justice

Popular social media commentator Abdul Will Kamara, widely known as ‘Adebayor,’ has openly criticized Dr. Samura Kamara, the All People’s Congress (APC) 2023 presidential candidate, for not actively advocating for electoral justice.

In a viral video, Adebayor expressed disappointment in Kamara's apparent lack of initiative in leading the party's efforts to demand electoral transparency and fairness.

Adebayor pointed out that while the APC has been actively engaging with the public through various outreach activities, including party registration drives and media appearances across the country, Dr. Kamara has not demonstrated the same level of leadership.

He accused Kamara of remaining passive and not outlining a clear strategy for achieving electoral justice, despite repeatedly discussing the issue.

"We’ve seen the APC actively involved in party registration activities, traveling from district to district, and engaging with the public on radio and TV," Adebayor said. "Meanwhile, Samura Kamara keeps talking about electoral justice but does so from the comfort of his home without providing any concrete plans on how to achieve it."

Adebayor urged Dr. Kamara to adopt a more hands-on approach, suggesting that he should travel across the country, visit districts, and utilize media platforms to communicate his vision for electoral justice. He emphasized that a significant majority of Sierra Leoneans are eager for electoral reforms, but they need a leader who can guide and mobilize them effectively.

"If you are serious about this cause, stop wasting time," Adebayor stated. "Go from district to district, region to region, and tell people the plan. Take real action."

Adebayor further stressed that 99% of Sierra Leoneans desire electoral justice, but they need strong leadership to bring about the necessary changes. He called on Dr. Kamara to step up and take charge, arguing that simply talking or holding meetings is not enough.

"Samura Kamara, if you truly mean what you are saying, then come out and lead the way. It's not just about talking or holding meetings; it’s about taking action," Adebayor urged.

In addition to his critique of Kamara’s leadership, Adebayor addressed recent rumors regarding Abdul Kargbo, the APC Leader in Parliament. He clarified that Kargbo’s meeting with Dr. Kamara was intended to foster peace within the party, dismissing claims that Kargbo was there to plead with Kamara.

Adebayor also accused Dr. Kamara of isolating himself from the party, suggesting that it was Kamara who distanced himself rather than the party distancing from him. He concluded by calling on Kamara to reconnect with the party and its members to lead the charge for electoral justice more effectively.
